    Tumblr Artist

Nathaniel Whitcomb | thinkorsmile on Tumblr (b.1983, USA)

American collage artist Nathaniel Whitcomb creates because he loves to dream, to think, to smile, to drift. He loves finding and facilitating moments where he can do so. For Nathaniel, the creative process is a pathway leading to unforeseen spaces, each one a new wonder. These are sacred, generous places and often grant insight into the connectedness of all others. He believes that art is articulated proof of such other-worldy exploration. This is why he creates art - to share discoveries, to collectively dream deeper. “I believe collage, surreal as it can be, more closely mirrors reality than any other art form. To be alive is to construct, to selectively choose from an infinitum of objects and ideas, internalize, then reassemble into a new whole. Living is collaging.” Nathaniel has been featured in a few publications, including The Age of Collage: Contemporary Collage in Modern Art and Cutting Edges: Contemporary Collage, among others.
